Welcome to Šalanda – a unique room hidden deep within the lager cellars of the Pilsner Urquell brewery! This is the only place where you can enjoy unfiltered and unpasteurized Pilsner Urquell, fermented in oak barrels and matured in lager tanks. The beer is served with live yeast, giving it its distinctive, full-bodied flavor. Throughout the experience, our master cellarmen will serve it to you in traditional three-liter metal pitchers. And you can drink as much of it as you want!
In the past, Šalandas were rest areas for brewery workers – a place to relax, eat, and socialize. The first Šalanda at the Burghers’ Brewery was built back in 1844. By the early 20th century, these rooms were built in large numbers for maltsters, stokers, machinists, and coopers. The last known record of a working Šalanda dates from 1946.
Today, Šalanda is here for your enjoyment! Spend three unplugged hours with friends – no phone signal, just hearty Czech food like brewery goulash, mini schnitzels, roasted pork knuckle, beef tartare, or a cold selection of farm-style smoked meats and cheeses.
You can choose from two Šalandas:
Small Šalanda
The Small Šalanda can host groups of up to 24 people, making it the perfect spot for friendly gatherings, bachelor or bachelorette parties, and all kinds of celebrations.

Price: CZK 10,000 / 3 hours for the whole group
Large Šalanda
The Large Šalanda can accommodate up to 50 guests, making it a great choice for larger celebrations, corporate events, or other special occasions.
Capacity: up to 50 people
Price: from CZK 10,000* / 3 hours for the whole group
*The price depends on the number of guests: 1–24 people: CZK 10,000, 25–35 people: CZK 15,000 and 36–50 people: CZK 20,000.

The capacity of a small šalanda is 24 people, and the capacity of a large šalanda is 50 people. For safety reasons, the maximum capacity cannot be increased.
Although the šalandas are located in the brewery cellars, where the temperature is around 5°C, the actual room is enclosed, and you’ll feel comfortable wearing just a T-shirt or a sweatshirt during your stay.
If you wish to pay by invoice, please contact our reservation department at reservations@asahibeer.cz with your selected available date. Our colleagues will be happy to create your booking manually.
For safety reasons, movement between šalandas is not allowed. Entry and exit to/from the brewery cellar areas are only possible with the cellar master’s accompaniment.
Šalandas are located in the brewery cellars, where there is no mobile or Wi-Fi signal. The spaces are primarily designed for gatherings with friends or colleagues and are not suitable for conferences.
Bringing your own food or alcohol to the šalanda is not allowed. Only Pilsner Urquell beer and non-alcoholic beverages from our offer may be consumed. The consumption of spirits or wine is not permitted.
Changes to the ordered catering can be made up to 7 working days before the planned event, as catering is not prepared directly in the cellars and must be delivered in advance.
You can take a brewery tour before your šalanda session. The tour lasts approximately 80 minutes and is offered at a discounted price of CZK 300/person. If interested, please contact our reservation department at reservations@asahibeer.cz.
