What can you expect on the tour?

Visitor Centre

Your journey through the Radegast Brewery begins at the modern Visitor Centre, where a short introductory film draws you into the world of one of the most iconic Czech beers.

You’ll get to know not only the distinctive bitterness of Radegast beer, but also the story behind its name — and why the pagan god Radegast perfectly embodies the strength and uncompromising character of this beer.

Malthouse

The production of high-quality malt from barley takes place right here in the brewery’s own malthouse. Through a process of soaking and drying, the essential base for brewing beer is created. Have you ever heard of malting steps like steeping, germination, or kilning? You’ll learn all about them before the brewing process even begins.

Jaromír Francl Brewhouse

At the heart of the brewery lies the brewhouse, where the actual brewing process takes place. This space bears the name of the brewery’s founder, Jaromír Francl, and combines modern technology with a strong respect for tradition.

Watch as malt, hops, and water are mixed under the watchful eye of automated systems. One unique feature is a special tank with live trout — proof that the water used in brewing is exceptionally pure.

Lager Cellar & Cylindroconical Tanks

After brewing, the beer ferments and matures in lager cellars or modern cylindroconical tanks. At a consistently low temperature, the beer slowly matures, developing its full, rounded flavor. During the tour, you will also visit a small exhibition showcasing the historical evolution of the beer fermentation process.

What visitors say about us

We were on holiday in the Beskydy Mountains and decided to combine the trip with a visit to the Radegast brewery – and it was a great choice! Pleasant atmosphere, lots of interesting facts about beer production, and a great tasting at the end. I really enjoyed it, and my husband, a big beer fan, was thrilled too.

Lenka Bartošová

The brewery tour was very interesting, and the guide was really nice. I was especially impressed by the live trout used to monitor water quality – I had no idea about that. Definitely recommend a visit.

Martin Kovář

Fun and informative tour with beer tasting – I highly recommend it.
