The exhibition traces the history of beer brewing in the Northern Pilsen region, from the Middle Ages to the present day. It follows the shift from aristocratic and monastic breweries to the rise of industrial breweries established after 1869. The exhibition highlights both the golden era of industrial brewing in the second half of the 19th century and its gradual decline, which culminated in the second half of the 20th century. It concludes on an optimistic note, drawing attention to the second life of some traditional breweries and the emergence of new microbreweries in the area.

The main theme of the exhibition is the Plasy Brewery, which exemplifies all key stages along the historical timeline. From its medieval origins and Baroque-era development under monastic ownership, through its transformation into an aristocratic brewery and later industrial modernization, it became the longest-operating brewery in the region in the 20th century, with production continuing until the mid-1960s. The site has since been converted for new use as the Centre for Building Heritage, and beer brewing has been revived under the Knížecí Pivovar Plasy brand.

The exhibition is held in cooperation with the Museum and Gallery of Northern Pilsen in Mariánská Týnice.
